XENIA — Community Blood Center has honored the City of Xenia with the Platinum Award in the Lifesaving Ambassadors Club.
The Platinum Award honors blood-drive sponsors who achieve 100 percent or more of collection goals. The city’s goal was 20 units, and it collected 25 from 28 donors including seven first-time donors.
“It was a wonderful blood drive,” said CBC account representative Cora Johnson, who presented the award to blood drive coordinator Sherri DeWine at the city’s May 24 blood drive.
