CEDARVILLE — A pair of community volunteers were recently honored by the Daughters of the American Revolution Cedar Cliff Chapter.
Thomas L. Selden and Marcia Baits were recognized for their contribution to the Cedarville community through cultural, educational, humanitarian, patriotic, historical and citizenship endeavors, helping to organize and and participate in community activities.
Selden has volunteered at the Cedarville Township Fire Department for many years as well as the food pantry and the Greene County board of health.
Baits has volunteered with the Cedarville community historical society and opera house and shares the history of the village, state, and nation with students and adults. She organized the National Day of Prayer held in the opera house and also encourages citizens to get to know those running for elected positions.
