Eleanor Parker was born in Cedarville in 1922. Her father was the Superintendent of Schools. The family moved to Cleveland where she had an opportunity for a screen test at the age of 15. She declined in order to complete her education. She enrolled I the Pasadena Playhouse and was signed by Warner Brothers at the age of 19. She received Academy Award Nominations for her performances in r “Caged”, “Detective Story” and “Interrupted Melody” . She was also seen In “The Sound of Music” as the Baroness.
