FAIRBORN — The National Museum of the United States Air Force is celebrating the 50th year anniversary of the end of the Southeast Asia War with a free educational presentation on Operation Homecoming.

On Saturday, July 15 at 10:30 a.m., guests are invited to a free presentation at the Carney Auditorium at the Air Force Museum. The talk will cover Operation Homecoming, an airlift that brought home prisoners of war in 1973. The presentation will cover the details of the operation and connect it to the museum, as well as give facts about POWs and their return to life after the war.

Col. Larry Benson (USAF ret.) is acting as guest commentator for the event. As a member of the reception team in the Philippines, Benson saw Operation Homecoming unfold firsthand and will lend his perspective to the audience.

No reservation is required to attend the event. The museum is at 1100 Spaatz Street.
